FAQ

What concrete advantages will professional images of my apartment bring me?

Recently one of the most important insurance companies in the world has published a study in which it has been shown that professional images of buildings and apartments are able to increase the sale or the rent with a speed of 50% higher than the low quality photos; in other words images are a powerful marketing tool!

Why should I spend money hiring an architectural  photographer ?

An architectural and interior photographer is not just any photographer. There are many good colleagues in the field of photography but the techniques used by architectural photographers are extremely specialized and require years of experience in the field. Such techniques are often completely ignored even by most professional photographers.

What are these techniques?

Architectural photography isconstantly evolving. This includes three fundamental aspects: the technology offered by modern cameras, the development of post-production images and the lighting techniques.
These three elements contribute to the final result, called the output of an image that will completely detach itself from anything else you have ever seen.

Can you explain more precisely?

Of course! In addition to using the most modern gear, the architectural photographer will preserve the correct geometry of the spaces by avoiding converging lines that deform the image. He will also know how to balance natural light with artificial light as well as the shades color tonality. The final result will be an image worthy the cover of a specialized magazine.

How do I recognize a true specialized Real Estatephotographer from one who declares himself such?

Sometimes it is easy to recognize them because they make many mistakes and repeat them in every photo session. One of the most common consists in overexposure, or too intense light, of the environments photographed.

I have a modest apartment that I want to rent, what sense does it make to spend on a photo shoot?

Even if you own a small apartment that you want to make income, a professional photo shoot will allow you to detach yourself from the thousands of other apartments similar to yours published on the various specialized sites. When a potential customer sees professional photos of your apartment, he will certainly prefer it to that of many other owners who have taken photos with their mobile phone.

I have entrusted my apartment to a big agency that deals with short term rentals. They proposed to send me their photographer, what should I do?

I know, lately these web agencies  want to take advantage of this possibility to increase their profits. It will be very difficult for them to send you a specialized interior photographer. Usually they use ordinary photographers that will take images with a standard outpu without spending time in post production. If you really want to distinguish yourself from the crowd, hire a specialized photographer. You will see that your photos will be more clicked than the rest and you will rent your apartment more often.

Do these concepts also apply to businesses?

Sure they do! In Italy this concept is still far from the mindset of many entrepreneurs but the image of your business is very importance. If you want to be on the cutting edge you need to make your customers live a unique and engaging experience starting right from the images you publish on your website!

Why are your prices higher than other photographers?

In my job I don't want to compete on the price but on the quality of the product I offer.

Those who offer low prices are probably generic and unskilled photographers. They have to compete with other novice photographers who may offer low prices in exchange for a low quality job.

Is a good photographer also a good videographer?

Generally not! In recent years, videography in the Real Estate field has developed considerably. Here too we find many photographers who improvise videographers with the result of damaging the image of their customers. Making a Real Estate video assumes meticulous "cinematographic" preparation. There are precise rules that cannot be ignored. I have seen really ridiculous videos, full of sensational mistakes.

So videos cost more than photos?

Sure!
Making a quality video has a higher cost than a photo shoot. This is mainly due to the hours of work that a video needs for both shooting and postproduction. Usually a video is made for houses of a certain value or for hotels and tourist facilities.
